The special gaskets accommodate differences in outside diameters, allowing for easy connection of different pipe materials such as asbestos cement pipes, PVC pipes, cast iron pipes, polyethylene pipes, steel pipes, and concrete pipes. It covers the maximum 43mm OD differences in a single unit; thus, it is perfect for emergency repairs and maintenance of buried pipes where the pipe material is unknown. This special feature contributes to the reduction of number of stock, storage space and inventory cost by eliminating the need to keep stock of the couplings for each size and pipe material. It comes with “fixers” (grippers for pull-out resistance), eliminating the need for thrust protection within the allowable water pressure range.
